Offering high quality coaching courses for our young players

We currently have two offerings available during the year. Our Summer Cricket Coaching Clinic and our Winter Nets Programme. The details of these seasonal courses are listed below.

Summer Cricket Coaching Clinic: August 1st-5th 2011

Come and join our Junior Cricket Festival Coaching Course at Horsmonden!

We offer other local clubs the opportunity to send their players to our Summer Cricket Coaching Course. Flimwell CC, Tunbridge Wells Borderers CC, Tunbridge Wells CC and Speldhurst CC are some of the clubs who have sent players along – the more the merrier!

Every year Horsmonden Cricket Club are proud to offer the opportunity for our young players to receive the highest level of coaching we can offer.

2009 saw Russell Wyatt take up the reigns from ex West Indies captain Jimmy Adams and stage two very successful Coaching Courses at Horsmonden and we'll be doing it again for 2011.

Russell Wyatt is an experienced ECB Level III Advanced Coach and has developed his cricket coaching methods over nearly 20 years at both youth and senior levels. A wide range of cricketers, teams and clubs have benefited from his innovative techniques and individual attention.

In addition to working alongside some 30 professional Test and County players and coaches, Russell Wyatt has coached many hundreds of individual cricketers, helping them progress to county youth, national representative and premier league levels, including over 35 national regional age group and county players.

Russell is also arranging for a current Kent County Cricket Club (KCCC) player to attend the course on a couple of days as did Rob Ferley in 2010.

We offer places to other local clubs and you should contact us as early as possible if your club is interested in taking us up on this offer.

£65 for the week
9-13* School Year 4-8: 09:30am-12:30pm
14-18* School Year 9-13: 13:30pm-16:30pm
At Horsmonden Cricket Club

Winter Nets Course

During the winter we hold a course of 4 winter nets at Bethany School, Curtisden Green on Sunday afternoons. This course starts in March and is overseen by HCC coaching staff.

UNDER 11 - including confident Year 4s
2.30pm - 4.00pm

UNDER 13
3.30pm - 5.00pm

UNDER 15
4.30pm - 6.00pm

Fees
U11 and U9 £16 for 4 or £6 / session
U13 and U15 £20 for 4 or £7 / session

Lift sharing will be organised when we know who's coming or organise yourselves.

All Junior Section Members should try to attend. All welcome!
