Junior Section

HCC's Young Guns

We have a thriving Junior Section or Colts Section and we are proud to provide competitive cricket for Under 15, Under 13, Under 11 and Under 9 age groups for boys and girls. Our mission is to provide an environment that challenges cricketers of all levels, whilst ensuring that our players learn to play for the sheer enjoyment of the game and compete.
We draw players from Horsmonden and the local area Paddock Wood, Goudhurst, Brenchley, Matfield, Lamberhurst, Kilndown, Collier Street, East Peckham, Laddingford, Yalding, Colliers Green to name a few. We have players from many Primary and Secondary schools, Click here to see the schools they attend.

Weekly Training Nights

Our weekly training nights are stuctured around our own HCC Youth Training Programme which sets a path for children as young as six to be able to eventually graduate to the senior team as fully developed cricketers.

Training Sessions commence in late April right through to last week of July.
The first week of August is Cricket Festival week during which we run our annual Cricket Coaching Course

Procedures

There is a lot to do running a Junior Section. To help volunteers we are creating some checklists.
